The Humanitarian Organization for Local Development (HOLD) was established in 2008 as an Afghan non-profit organization. HOLD began its work in Farah Province, Afghanistan where the Women Empowerment Training Center was built. This training center is the only safe space where girls and women can learn subjects such as basic math and English skills. HOLD also focuses on sustainable development programs in:
HOLD currently works in 7 provinces of Kabul, Farah, Zabul, Kapisa, Ghazni, Logar and Wardak. As HOLD moves forward, we plan to expand programs further into the eastern and central regions, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to an education.
